Combined with Alone Again, I think it was a solid intro sequence that caught my attention (as a newcomer to his music) and made me want to hear more so 'Mission Accomplished'.

It's the type of beat that makes me want to download Ableton and just mess around and see what happens. I could honestly listen to the last 40 seconds on loop. I don't care for the way the artist often abruptly swings between heavy innuendo (but still innuendo) to explicit and back. And actually, as a quick negative, I don't care for the bridge. Nothing resonates with me on a personal level. But when I look for a favorite lyric, nothing stands out to me as impactful. Without listening to the words, I'd probably give the track a 9/10 just for the vibe. When I checked him out before, I liked the mood of his music but just couldn't get into the content.Īnd if I'm honest, that trend kinda applies to this song too. He keeps popping up in my recommended playlists since I apparently listen to a lot of neighboring artists. This was actually the first album by The Weeknd I've listened through.
